It's easy, don't you think?
I mean. Being the type of Christian I am.
Floating.
Asking stupid questions. Really stupid questions.
And being stupid enough to ask them in your small group.
And it's also easy, don't you think?
For the people in the small group to not understand what you're really asking.
Or maybe giving you the easy answers. The ones that you already know. The ones that you're already written off as the wrong answers.
And what it all boils down to is this.
One question.
Where is God in the mundane?
If God is: Omnipotent. Omniscient. Omnipresent.
Where is he? Where are you, God?
And everyone thinks it's because I don't like my job. Or don't get enough sleep.
As if magically, if you like your job, God appears.
I've got my doubts.
So I start reading this book about alternative Christian music from the 80s. And Joey Taylor (from Undercover) surprises the hell out of me.
He says that I'm right. That God should be in the mundane.
But apparently he's found him.
Joey Taylor finds God in the mundane.
So this is what I figure.
If Joey Taylor can find him in the mundane. So can I.
Seriously.
But first I need some rules.
